June 3, 2025 | Lüneburg – IHK Lecture: How to Manage Complexity in Pricing?

In the IHK series „Impulses for SMEs“, the spotlight is on Strategic Pricing this time. The IHK Lüneburg-Wolfsburg is pleased to welcome pricing expert Professor Hans-Christian-Riekhof for this occasion. He will discuss a topic that many businesses are undoubtedly familiar with: the complexity of pricing. „Should you simplify your pricing to finally manage complexity?“ is the question he poses and for which he has in-depth, practical answers.

How to formulate and implement a long-term pricing strategy will be explained to interested individuals on June 3rd from 9:00 to 10:00 am at a free online event hosted by the Lüneburg-Wolfsburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHKLW). Professor Hans-Christian Riekhof will examine the elements of a well-planned pricing policy, the processes of pricing, and effective price control.

For over 20 years, the author and editor of various books on strategy, marketing, and retail business has been deeply engaged with questions of strategic and operational pricing and regularly initiates empirical pricing studies. In the IHKLW event, the expert will raise awareness for this topic – and provide actionable insights.

„In many companies, the issue of costs plays a very significant role. This is not the case for price and pricing in the same way: the company management pays significantly less attention to pricing than, for example, to costs,“ says IHKLW consultant Thomas Rekowski: „This is very surprising, as the price is the significantly more effective profit lever in almost all companies. Therefore, a close look at pricing is worthwhile.“
