Dorothee Bär: Data Protection Law Blocks Digitization
/in Unkategorisiert/by Prof. Dr. Hans-Christian RiekhofNext Pricing Seminar on March 18/19, 2021
/in Unkategorisiert/by Prof. Dr. Hans-Christian RiekhofPricing is one of the most underestimated marketing tools. It contains a frequently neglected potential for sustainable value creation. Many companies still lack a long-term strategy to deal with the daily, sometimes complex aspects of the pricing process.
In this two-day practice-oriented intensive seminar, pricing expert Professor Dr. Hans-Christian Riekhof presents a well-applicable methodological framework, a “toolbox” that all participants can understand and apply. You will get to know, among other things, the 4 levers for increasing the pricing competence of companies. These levers are not only explained theoretically, but are applied using practical examples from the participants’ everyday work. Therefore, participants from various industries are recommended to bring specific pricing issues from their own work area into the seminar to work on them there.
Early registration is recommended as places are limited.

Auto-Media Portal Reports on Connected Car Study
/in News / Insights, Unkategorisiert/by Prof. Dr. Hans-Christian RiekhofThe study by the Private University of Göttingen (PFH) on the topic of “Connected Car Services in Germany” has now also prompted the online author network Auto-Media Portal.net to report on it. The portal has identified as focal points the high number of respondents, 82 percent, who see great potential in the connectivity of vehicles, as well as the still pronounced concerns regarding data security and the use of data by the companies involved in the technology, as determined by empirically collected questions.
“What happens to the data that modern vehicles collect and store on the go? The fight for this data, the ‘gold rush’ of the 21st century, is already underway,” it says. Various interest groups demanded access here because this information formed the basis for future business models. So far, however, only the car manufacturers have had access to the drivers’ data, who in turn claimed sovereignty over it.
The study was conducted by Professor Hans-Christian Riekhof and Marc Scholz for the Private University of Göttingen PFH in the spring of 2020. A total of 534 people participated.
