What Warren Buffet and other successful people have in common

Some of the world’s most successful people have something in common: It’s not a high IQ or an incredible lucky streak. It’s their sense of reading. Books were their most profitable investment. An article by author Sandra Wu in the “Blinkist Magazine” highlights this interesting aspect.

It reveals that Warren Buffet, one of the world’s most successful investors, and top US investor Charlie Munger started very small, earning just 2 US dollars a day. That they earn around 20 million a day a few decades later, they owe largely to their reading habits. Buffet, for example, spends about 80 percent of his day reading. At the beginning of his unparalleled investment career, he is said to have read 600 to 1000 pages in a single day. This changed everything.

And he has a tip: “Read 500 pages – per day! That’s how education works. It multiplies like compound interest. Each of you can do it. But I also guarantee you: Not many of you will do it.” Another piece of advice: “No matter where you are in life today: Always keep learning – and you will be rewarded with success.”

The article also mentions people like tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. Read the full article in English at the following link: https://www.blinkist.com/magazine/posts/reading-habits-of-highly-successful-people
