No other federal state has achieved such a rise. The all-day primary schools, which are almost everywhere in the Hanseatic city, are crucial for Hamburg’s educational success – the legal entitlement to this will not come until 2026 nationwide. The city also checks the status of students in six grades – significantly more than in other countries – and gives schools feedback on this.
