Miriam Meckel on the too slow networking of health departments with “Sormas”

“Germany is really good at inventing. Thus, the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research and the Robert Koch Institute had already developed a digital platform for networking health departments with “Sormas” at the beginning of the pandemic. Last November, the prime ministers and the Federal Chancellery finally decided to use “Sormas” in Germany. By then, the platform had long been successfully in operation in other countries, such as Nigeria and Ghana.”
