/in Unkategorisiert/by Jürgen KettlerIn the two-day intensive seminar, the 4 levers to increase the pricing competence of companies are taught. These levers are not only explained theoretically, but are applied using practical examples from the participants’ everyday work. Participants are advised to bring specific pricing issues from their own work area into the seminar to work on them there.
Seminar goals

• To develop hypotheses about price-related reactions in their market segment
• To develop price tests
• To put their own pricing strategy to the test
• To develop new building blocks for their pricing strategy
• To develop a price-related customer segmentation
• To tap potentials for profit increases
• To develop a discount strategy
• To develop a price controlling concept
• To design a transfer plan for implementing the pricing strategy

Installment Loan: Are Negative Interest Rates Sensible for Credit Portals?
/in Unkategorisiert/by Jürgen KettlerCurrently, companies are competing for the cheapest installment loan: Check24 and Smava are undercutting each other and have now reached interest rates of minus five percent. Customers who receive a loan of 1,000 € only have to repay 950 €.
Pricing expert Professor Hans-Christian Riekhof said: “I would be particularly interested in how many of these loans are actually taken up. They are usually only given to customers with very good creditworthiness. And many credit-financed purchases, whether for home furnishings or the used car, are significantly above the amount of 1,000 €. So this is likely to have only a very limited actual significance.”
Installment loan with an interest rate of minus 5 %: What logic is behind it?
One has to ask what logic is behind these offers. “Why do the providers subsidize consumer credit?”, asks Prof. Riekhof and immediately gives his assessment: “It’s all about attracting attention in the media. The Handelsblatt recently reported about it on a whole page – you can’t get free advertising for your own company any easier. However, how long this effect lasts is another matter.”
Locationinsider: Locandis introduces new Beacons
/in News / Insights/by Jürgen KettlerDissatisfaction with the solutions currently on the market has led the company Locandis from Göttingen to develop its own Beacons. These are also optimally adapted to the company’s own backend. This topic was now picked up by Locationinsider, the online magazine for digital change.
The magazine continues to write: Locandis’ customers include Peek&Cloppenburg among others. For its customers, the company has implemented projects in the field of Location Based Services. Via Beacons, customers in the store are sent coupons and product-related content to their smartphones. This is intended to increase attention and directly set purchase impulses. A dialogue with the customer is achieved in the form of the digital customer card developed by Locandis.
So far, the Beacons available on the market have been used for the projects. But the company was dissatisfied with their performance and therefore had Beacons manufactured according to its own specifications. These are characterized by an optimized antenna layout, which allows a more precise signal transmission. Especially larger Beacon networks benefit from the comprehensive illumination for a more precise in-store navigation.
The Beacons are BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) compliant and support the Apple iBeacon protocol. Since the Beacons were also specified with regard to the company’s own backend, they automatically report there if the functionality should be limited or the battery status becomes critical. However, this should be rather rare, as the installed battery is supposed to last 5 years.
