“An e-reader only has a smaller CO² footprint when over 40 books are read on the device or 130 reports that would have been printed with a laser printer. However, if a printed product is read multiple times (or by multiple people), the ratio multiplies. For example, if two people read the same printed book, it changes the entire calculation. In that case, an e-reader is only worthwhile if 80 books are read on it.”
