Vertical Takeoff from PFH to Volkswagen Management
Almost eight years ago, Sebastian Benndorf completed his business studies at PFH, Private University of Applied Sciences in Göttingen, today he is a manager in production at Volkswagen. In a practical lecture on June 12, he reported to the current Göttingen management students about his career in the automotive group and the challenges in the international project world. The lecture was initiated by Prof. Dr. Hans-Christian Riekhof, who teaches international marketing at PFH.
As one of the youngest ever, at 30 years old, Benndorf joined the VW management level in 2017. Prior to this, the PFH graduate had already gone through various career stages in the group. These had led him from Volkswagen Consulting to production control and into production strategy. Benndorf, now in the executive area of production, gave the students insight into the learning processes he went through and how the internal company path to leadership is designed. The goal is to make production and logistics a central competitive advantage for the Volkswagen brand, according to Benndorf.
