This privacy policy applies to www.unicconsult.com and the addresses served by the same website, in particular pricing-newsletter.de. Personal data is any data that can be related to you personally, for example your name, email address, IP address or usage behaviour.
Hosting and server log files
This website is operated by Brinkhoff Consulting GmbH on servers in a data centre in Germany; a data processing agreement is in place (Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit the website, the server processes the data your browser transmits for technical reasons:
- IP address of the requesting device,
- date and time of access,
- name and URL of the file requested,
- website from which the access was made (referrer URL),
- browser used and, where applicable, the operating system.
This data is required to deliver the website to you and to keep it secure and stable. The log files are deleted after a short time. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The fonts of this website are stored on our own server; no connection to third-party font services (e.g. Google Fonts) is made.
Cookies and consent management
Google services for statistics and marketing as well as external media only load after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. Our own web analytics with Matomo runs independently of this (see “Web analytics with Matomo”). Your choice is stored with a timestamp and version in your browser’s storage and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the page footer. The legal basis for the services requiring consent is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).
Independently of this, our web server sets a cookie “_uid” with a randomly generated identifier when the website is accessed (stored until the end of 2037). We do not evaluate this cookie, do not store it in our log files and do not combine it with other data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the technical operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can delete the cookie in your browser at any time or prevent cookies from being set in your browser settings.
When you log in to the members’ area, WordPress sets technically necessary login cookies that keep you logged in during your session (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).
Contact forms and seminar registration
If you send us a request via a form – contact, press contact, enquiry about in-house workshops or registration for a seminar – we process the information you enter (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number, your message or the seminar date you would like) in order to handle your request or registration. The transmission is encrypted; delivery to our mailbox runs via a mail server of Brinkhoff Consulting GmbH in Germany. The legal basis is the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), otherwise our legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the data as soon as the request has been completed and no statutory retention obligations (e.g. for invoices) apply. For the spam protection of the forms, see “Google reCAPTCHA”.
If you contact us by email or phone, we likewise process your details solely to handle your request.
Pricing Newsletter
For the Pricing Newsletter we process your email address and your name and, if provided, salutation, title and first name. Registration uses the double opt-in procedure: you first receive an email in which you confirm your registration. As proof of your consent, we store the time and IP address of registration and confirmation as well as the source of the registration.
We send the newsletter with our own installation of the MailWizz software, operated for us by Brinkhoff Consulting GmbH on servers in Germany (data processing agreement, Art. 28 GDPR). No data is transferred to mailing service providers outside the EU.
To improve the newsletter, we evaluate whether and when a newsletter was opened and which links in it were clicked. For this purpose, each newsletter contains an invisible tracking pixel and links that redirect via our server; the time, IP address, approximate location and browser identifier are recorded and assigned to your subscription.
The legal basis for sending and evaluation is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 7(2) No. 2 UWG). You can withdraw your consent at any time, e.g. via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by email to info@nullunicconsult.com. After you unsubscribe, we remove your data from the mailing list; we only keep your email address and the proof of your earlier consent for as long as we need it to defend against claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Members’ area and Pricing Audit
For members and seminar participants we offer a protected area with materials and the online Pricing Audit. For this we process the details of your member account (name, email address, user name and, where applicable, company) and your login times. In the Pricing Audit we store your answers, your progress, timestamps and – if you indicate it – your wish to be contacted, so that you can continue the audit and retrieve your evaluation. The memberships are free of charge; we do not process payment data for them. The legal basis is the use of the members’ area based on your registration (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We store the data until you have your account deleted; an informal message to info@nullunicconsult.com is sufficient.
Google Tag Manager and Google Ads (only with consent)
Only if you consent to the “Marketing” category do we load Google Tag Manager and, through it, Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). This allows us to measure whether a visit via one of our ads led to an enquiry, a seminar registration or a newsletter subscription. Cookies are set and data such as your IP address, the pages visited, any ad click identifier and the type and time of the event are transmitted to Google. Tag Manager itself does not evaluate any data; it only controls which Google services are loaded. Without your consent none of these services loads, and no cookieless signals are sent to Google either (Google Consent Mode v2 in basic mode).
If you submit a form with marketing consent, we additionally transmit a SHA-256 encrypted (hashed) value of the email address entered to Google (“enhanced conversions”). Google matches this value with signed-in Google accounts in order to attribute conversions more accurately. The email address itself does not leave your browser in plain text.
Data may be transferred to the USA in the process; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the page footer.
Google reCAPTCHA (only with consent)
To protect our forms against spam, we use Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Limited). For this purpose reCAPTCHA evaluates information such as your IP address and your behaviour on the page; data may be transferred to the USA (EU-US Data Privacy Framework). reCAPTCHA only loads once you have consented to the “External media” category or clicked “Activate form” on a form; until then the forms are deactivated and you can reach us by email or phone. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the page footer.
Web analytics with Matomo
We use the web analytics service Matomo to evaluate the use of our website and improve it. Matomo runs on a server of Brinkhoff Consulting GmbH in Germany (data processing agreement); no data is transferred to third parties. Matomo sets cookies that recognise your browser on later visits and records the pages visited, times, length of visit, origin, search terms of the site search, content viewed and clicked, downloads and outbound links, submitted forms (without their content), loading times, device and browser information as well as your full IP address. Visits to www.unicconsult.com and pricing-newsletter.de are combined into one visit. If you are logged in to the members’ area, the visit is linked to the number of your member account (without name or email address). The raw data is currently not deleted automatically.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in evaluating and improving our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this at any time:
Google Analytics (only with consent)
Only if you consent to the “Statistics” category do we additionally use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to evaluate the use of our website and to understand how visitors find us through our ads. Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g. “_ga”) and records the pages visited, length of visit, origin including any ad click identifier, device and browser information, approximate location and events such as the successful submission of a form – without the content entered. Google Analytics does not store your IP address; it is only used to determine the approximate location. Google signals are disabled. Event data is deleted after two months, user-level data after 14 months without a new visit.
We link Google Analytics with our Google Ads account in order to evaluate the success of our ads. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the page footer.
Links to LinkedIn and X (Twitter)
Our website links to our profiles on LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter). These are simple links; no data is transferred to these networks when you visit our website. Only when you follow a link do you leave our website; from then on the privacy policy of the respective network applies. The same applies to links to articles and videos of other providers in our posts.
Recipients of your data
Your data is only received by the parties that need it for the purposes described: Brinkhoff Consulting GmbH as our service provider for hosting, email delivery, newsletter and Matomo (data processing on our behalf) and – only with your consent – Google for Google Ads, Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA. Beyond that, we only pass on your data if we are legally obliged to do so.
Your rights
- Access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise your rights, a message to info@nullunicconsult.com or to our postal address is sufficient.
